Bak Kut Teh @ Ng Ah Sio Pork Rib Eating House 黄亞細肉骨茶餐室

シンガポールに初めて来たのは、30年以上前。当時8歳でシンガポールは今とは全然イメージが違う、のどかな町だった。肉骨茶を食べるたびに、30年前の記憶がよみがえる。 さてここ、ラングーンロードに有名な肉骨茶（バークッテー）屋がある。肉骨茶とは、ポークリブ、白胡椒、にんにくのスープ。それを白米・揚げパン・鉄観音と一緒に戴く、シンガポールの国民食である。ここのはスープがクリアなので潮州スタイルだ。6年ほど前、ここを訪れた時に、お店のポロシャツを是非譲ってほしいと申し出たら、すんなり、譲ってくれた。おまけに厨房にまで案内され、感激！


My first encounter with BKT was when I first came to Singapore at the age of 8 with my dad. We were here for a month every summer for 3 consecutive years! And those childhood memories still come to full life when I have a bowl of Ng Ah Sio's BKT @ Rangoon Rd. Yup, I also find this place pricey but I just can't resist. One day, I offered to buy their polo shirt and they quickly replied yes. So, my friend and I wore it right at the restaurant and they kindly showed us the inside of their kitchen. Now that was quite an experience!
