Siamese Laksa

During my visit to Penang few years ago, I was fortunate enough to have a tasty Siamese Laksa.  This laksa which I have only tried once, is similar to Penang Laksa plus pronounced lemongrass flavor and coconut milk.  Flavor-wise, it kind of resembles penang laksa but the lemongrass gives a nice citrus flavor resembling tom yam soup and coconut milk boosts the richness (complementing the tangy flavor from asam). It is not garnished with laksa leaf or daun kesom, but like its famous cousin, garnished with daun pudina or mint leaf.  The name do suggest Thai influence but it has nothing to do with mee siam -personally, I prefer Siamese laksa over mee siam because of bold flavor.
