Sambal Stingray


Bought some incredibly fresh stingray so I decided to cook, sambal stingray. The stingray was little under 30cm -enough to feed 6 persons. Didn't have any banana leaf but that didn't stop me from grilling up this divine sea creature. Basted with home made sambal goreng and flashed in the oven for 10min. Result: juicy and tender stingray. Garnished with julienned kafir lime leaf and sprinkled some lime juice -heavenly! The 3rd photo is the one I ate at Makansutra Glutton's Bay June 2007.
